Mary Ellen Heiner is currently a Coordinator of Projects Sr.  and has been working at the Center for Persons with Disabilities (CPD) at USU since July of 1984. She provides administrative support to the staff for the Research and Training (RaT) Division of the CPD. She serves as the Sr. Staff Assisant for the Division as well as the office manager and onsite contact person for questions and answers regarding the general operation of the RaT Division. Mary Ellen is an instructor for the Interdisciplinary Disability Awareness and Community-Engaged Learning (IDACEL). In 2018 she became the Proposal Development Coordinator for the CPD. Some of Mary Ellen's main responsibilities include preparing budgets for proposals submitted to state and federal funding agencies, editing and formating manuscripts for submission to journals and other publication outlets, conference organization/management, and other managerial responsibilities as requested. She has recently taken on the responsibility of copy editor for the new CPD Developmental Disabilities Network Journal. Mary Ellen also helps coordinate training and data input for the National Information Reporting System (NIRS) national database.
