Rikki Kae Wheatley-Boxx

Program Director

Rikki is the current Program Director of the Public & School Partnership at Utah State University. Her responsibilities include directing all activities of a service-based nonprofit project, including the management and administration of an AmeriCorps*VISTA program grant (23 VISTA Members with placement sites in 3 counties in Northern Utah).  As part of this project Rikki oversees the placement of national service members to work with educational programs in Box Elder, Cache, Logan, Weber, and Salt Lake school districts.  Rikki also acts as Co-Founder of the Cache Valley National Service Alliance (CVNSA), an organization dedicated to providing more coordinated services for the families in Cache Valley; the CEO of the Advocates for School Trust Lands; and the President of the Logan Pride Foundation.

Rikki has been with Public & School Partnership for over 10 years. During that time she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member, VISTA Leader, and VISTA Supervisor working on projects to develop educational resources for underserved students and families. She received her undergraduate (Psychology)  and graduate (Special Education - Severe) degrees from Utah State University, with the major focus of her studies in Applied Behavior Analysis and research. She continues to remain passionate about developing and implementing programs to promote best-practices in education.
