Heidi Hill is a guest blogger for the CPD’s Developmental Skills Laboratory (DSL), a day program for adults with disabilities. Heidi loves to type and each month she’ll be sharing the fun activities that she and her “buds” are doing at DSL. Everyone enjoyed the music of the season, all of us travelled by van, clear down to this mall to see one man dressed all in red, with one white beard, huge black boots and one pack filled high with all kinds of handy, neat treasures. Not only that, but he gave Heidi and her buds each one red-and-white-striped candy cane. When Heid and her buds came back and saw the table, they found it stacked high with gifts from their buds at CPD. When all the buds opened the gifts they found puzzles, games, things to cook with and cookbooks. There were even Wii games, and new videos to watch! Heid and her buds were so confused because they thought that Christmas had come early! We sure have had fun playing and using all of our treasures from the CPD and are most grateful! At our Christmas program we had an all green visitor come and tell us about how he didn’t always have the Christmas spirit. In fact you might call him a Grinch. But he learned his lesson and now shares the spirit of Christmas! Heid and her buds wish all of you and yours a very happy and healthy new year!
