Institute for Disability Research, Policy, & Practice
The Center for Persons with Disabilities has a new name and logo! We are now the USU Institute for Disability Research, Policy, & Practice (IDRPP). Our new name and logo represent the next step in the evolution of our organization. From our origins as a local specialized school program, to our work today as a national and international leader in research, training, and services for people with disabilities we have made it our purpose to grow with intention and a focus on improving outcomes.
Over our (almost) 50-year history, the IDRPP has grown into one of the largest UCEDD programs in the nation and is recognized as a pioneer in research, training, technical assistance, and services for children and adults with disabilities, families, and the professionals who serve them. Even though we have changed our name and logo, we remain committed to our foundational values of innovation, inclusion, collaboration, and caring. Our team of skilled professionals and staff will continue to deliver the high-quality work that you have come to expect from us.
We are working together to create inclusive communities and improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities and their families through sustainable innovation, collaborative research, responsive service, and interdisciplinary training and education.
